MERRY CHRISTMAS!

With Christmas less than a week away, just remember what this day is all about....our Lord and Savior...Jesus Christ! Without HIM we wouldn't even be celebrating this holiday...We are going to enjoy family, friends, and the true miracle of Jesus' birth! We love you all, Merry Christmas!

Luke's 30 week ultrasound

I can't believe I haven't posted anything until now about our baby #2, Luke Daniel. I will actually be 33 weeks this Monday. I somehow got a week ahead of our dr. visits. I've been going every 2 wks, but that will change to every week soon. We can't wait to meet him! Madison is very excited about having baby luke to help me take care of. It has seemed so much easier this time and just flown by...it's funny how pregnancies can be so different. It's amazing how you can love someone so much you haven't even seen yet. When I laid in bed last night with everyone asleep and the house quiet feeling him move, I somehow understand God's love for us even more.

Happy 3rd Birthday!!

We celebrated madison's birthday last month ( i mean 2 months ago)...i'm kind of behind! Her actual birthday is on Sept. 25th, so we had some friends over the Sat. morning (26th). She had a great time and got lots of goodies. Her and I spent Friday making 50 butterfly cupcakes! whew!...i think i'll just get a cake next time! And started off the morning with heart pancakes! She also had a pinata full of candy. She got several fun gifts including some art supplies, a horse music box, a bike, books, clothes, jewelry and many other things like "fun money"! We went shopping and got her some new boots and cute panties! ;) Thanks to everyone who made her day so special!

Today = One week without the PACI

The time had finally come to "give up" (not so willingly) the pacifier! Last Thurs. morning we searched the house and collected all of them. Then found a box and wrapped them up in christmas paper. We called it big sister day! She is saving them for Baby Luke when he gets here. It has gone pretty well and there has not been any mention of it in the last few days until LAST NIGHT! The hardest part is the getting her to sleep for nap and bedtime without it...it takes forever for her to fall asleep. And I have to admit several times the thought has gone through my head to rip that box open and just give her one! But I'm holding myself back...we won't quit now!

First "Real" Haircut!

I think an 8:00 am hair appt. is too early, but we made it anyway. I was a little worried at how madison would do. I was wanting to get it cut shorter than this, but she was ready to quit before then. She did wonderful at first, then right at the end she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, "I'm done now, mommy". The two pieces of candy got her through to the end! BEFORE~~~~

4th of July ~ 2009

Another fun 4th of July~ We started off the morning at the pool with friends. After lunch and a little more swimming it was time for a much needed nap for madison. During naptime, I drove to watch one of my brother's softball games in Sherwood. I'm not much of a napper! Then that evening we shot off some fireworks out at the house and had a great time getting to be together as a family.

Funny Stories

• We were over at my grandparent's house last week and they have a huge scale. Madison stood up on it and asked "How much do I weigh?"...I looked and said about 34 lbs. She jumped off of it, raised up her arms and screamed "I'm 3 now!"

• On our way to the store today, as madison was climbing into her seat she spotted a pacifier (ugh). I said "oh, you don't need that right now". As I was buckling her in she fake yawned really BIG and said "OH my...I'm so tired I need my paci"...It's funny how they reason! and NO she didn't get it! I just laughed about it.

Very HOT days...

I pulled out the huge dry erase board and madison went to town drawing faces all over it! She was in the office for at least 30 min. Reading to all of her animals that are covered up. She knows this Henry the Duck book word for word. It was one of my favorites! (don't you love the hair)

Playing in the water and of course we had to let Kain out of his pen and give him a drink.

Bring on the Summer!

Madison's favorite thing to do so far this summer is SWIM! She has also gone to her first softball game. I think her and Riley enjoyed getting candy at the concession more than actually watching the game though!

Just being ME!

Madison was playing with her puppy "spot" and pretending to check his heartbeat. She doesn't have a doctor's kit, but that didn't matter....she found something that would work as a stethescope! When she would hold it up to him she would say.."beep...beep...beep". That made me laugh. You can see she's really cheesin' it up in this picture. Oh the things she's been doing lately!

Just dancing in the rain with her new umbrella! wow, she's so pround of that thing. I'll have to post a picture of her new rain boots on here too...she just wasn't wanting them on at this moment!
